Day 4 → Autumn Haziness
Two weeks ago it was the most beautiful UBC campus I have seen so far.
I witnessed the process of a huge fog covering UBC campus in less than
10 minutes while walking towards the electrical building on saturday.
這霧 舖天蓋地的滲入 整個校園所有可以看得到的空間 現在回想起來
走在路上超過50公尺的視野 除了漫天大霧 是什麼都看不見的
這份低能見度 在空間上 將整個校地作了精緻的視野切割 每走五十公尺
就可以來到兩分鐘前完全看不透的前方 每一切割 讓眼前的物景 從世界的雜亂紛擾中
獨立出一個只屬於它們的專有呈現空間
一個微妙柔和 落英繽紛 的隱誨空間.
a space with a infinity of resolution, and an absolute depth of field between the seen
and the unseen that only the mother nature is capable of producing.
And this space, has the name of
Autumn Haziness.....
Day 2 → Lif life
Since the 4 rolls of new prints are still sitting in Superstore and another 4 rolls of finished films sitting on my desk, I went dig out some old photographs from the past. This lif is phtographed in the very well known Gatineau Park in the Ottawa and Hull area. I heard there are many many truck loaded( i mean bus loaded) of American tourists came up to this park i
n every year's autumn to sight seeing the changing color of the maples. Because up here the temperature drops lower during the night and that favours the anthocyanin formation producing bright red in mapels. It also helps the break downs of chlorophyll and the disappearing of the green pigments so that the yellor to orange colors would become more visible and give the leaves part of their autumn splendor.

I think I had been driven extremely cranky by the overwhelming work load yesterday and was in a very gloomy state during the course of the explosion of my liver. But I will make sure I go buy some pig 肝 this weekend to have it replenished. =P
Day 1 → dry fallens
I am participating the November event, Photoblogging Competiton, held by the coolest club, Literature Etc.,
that I have ever met. In this competition, each participant has to post a photo everyday on his/her blog continuously
throughout the month of November. I opted to do category A which is posting photos related to one single theme that the participant has selected and the theme I chose is "Autumn". It's because I want to exploit the fact that I have already taken
about 4~5 rolls of negative films, which are still undeveloped/under developing, since the beginning of October for my own entertainment and a lot of them are trees, leaves, and objects or scenes I encountered around campus. I always had a very positive inclination towards trees and regard them as one of the most beautiful and spiritual living being that I have seen and UBC just happened to have a campus filled with vast amount of greens that are really neat. I therefore just wasn't able to help taking this advantage to carve down the versatile expressions of trees and leaves on my films during the months of Autumn.
